Vetting Criteria

Esta página aún no está disponible en tu idioma.

This site doesn’t accept payment, sponsorships, or affiliate commissions — so when something is listed here, it’s because it genuinely cleared the bar, not because someone paid for placement.

Reputation & Longevity
The service has been operating long enough to have a real track record. New or pop-up operators aren’t listed, regardless of how promising they look.

Consistent public reviews
We look at independent review platforms (Google, TripAdvisor etc.) for sustained quality — not just a handful of recent ratings.

Wide availability or significance
We prioritize services available across multiple regions of Sri Lanka, or those that are particularly dominant/well-known in their category. A niche local operator might be excellent but isn’t appropriate for a general travel guide.

No reported safety issues
Any credible pattern of safety complaints is an automatic disqualification.

Accessibility & ease of use for tourists
Works in English, is reasonably easy for a first-time visitor to use, and has a functioning support channel.

  • Offers or has offered compensation of any kind for inclusion
  • No verifiable track record
  • Consistent negative reviews on independent platforms

If you operate or know of a service you think belongs here, you’re welcome to reach out. Submissions go through the same vetting criteria above — being suggested doesn’t guarantee inclusion, and we don’t fast-track anything.

Write to us through our email. We will try to reply within 24-48 hours.

No listing is permanent. Services change ownership, quality drops, apps get abandoned. If you’ve had a notably bad experience with something listed here, let us know.

We review listings periodically, but we’re a small independent guide — not a full-time monitoring operation. Use your own judgment and check recent reviews before booking anything.
